About Us

Established in 1960 on Ralph Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. Fred & Murry's has stood for quality and tradition for almost half a century. In 1981, brothers Fred and Murry Chalnick and brother in-law Morty Lupowitz ventured across the Verrazano Bridge into the then uncharted wilderness of Central New Jersey.

Keeping true to the principles they were originally founded on, Fred & Murry's Kosher Delicatessen, Restaurant, & Caterers celebrates 35 years in New Jersey in 2015, still grounded on the traditions, quality commitment to customer service, and friendly atmosphere established so many years ago.

When Fred, Murry and Morty retired in 1997, their two nephews, Shawn and Dan Richelson took over the reigns and now carry the kosher deli business into the next generation. From the on-premises pickled corn beef, still hand cut fresh daily french fried potatoes, to the matzo ball soup exactly the way you remember it as a kid. We invite you to relax, feel at home, maybe try something you've never had before or enjoy an old time favorite.
